South Florida SCTE Chapter gives to Lisa Williams Heart Fund
July 18, 2005 (Exton, PA)- The South Florida SCTE Chapter's Board of Directors recently approved a matching $1000 donation to the Lisa Williams Heart Fund on behalf of it's membership. Fellow SCTE member and Cox cable Engineer, Ken Williams' wife...Lisa...is in desperate need of a heart transplant. The funds will financially assist the Williams family in Lisa's approval for listing for a transplant and her long term care after the surgery. Ken is a member of the Chattahoochee Chapter of the SCTE, based in Atlanta, GA.
"The South Florida Chapter's board has matched the $1000 donation by the Chattahoochee Chapter already given to the www.heart4lisa.com organization" said South Florida SCTE Chapter President Stephen Brazil. "Our Chapter's board would like to challenge other SCTE Chapters in assisting the Williams family in any way they can." Brazil went further, "The SCTE is about the membership and those we care about. The broadband Cable TV industry is "Family" to many of us, if we can help, we help."
